International Development Banks

Mainstreaming EO services in development banks daily practices has been a priority for VAE since its beginning.

The approach taken goes from consolidating requirements for geo-information services to small-scale service trials to more extensive demonstrations towards sustainable use of EO information within the bank activities and eventually formalization of a partnership agreement.

Similar approaches have involved to date World Bank, European Investment Bank (EIB), UN-International Fund for Agricultural Development (UN-IFAD) and are starting to involve European Bank for Development and Reconstruction (EBRD) and Asian Development Bank (ADB).
