Reduce costs and time in obtaining pesticide licenses to operate in different countries.

Main Services

Monitor the development of biomass in defined periods of crop growth, the growing intensity of cultivated crops and its vitality throughout the vegetation period (based on AVHRR data).

Such information supports demonstration of the similarity of physically different test sites for field trials to be conducted prior to pesticide registration in different countries. Through the substitution of field trials via Site Similarity Certificates, the agro-chemical industry can benefit in saving costs and time to market.

These services are being produced and validated in several trials across Europe as defined by the agro-chemical industry participants. The overall objective is to improve the quality management of the service introducing elements of the ISO 9000 standard.

The prospects for these services are being assessed for the agrochemical industry with BASF (3rd biggest producer of pesticides worldwide) and Dr Knoell Consult (full service provider in pesticide registration).
